Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
A mid-size organization in Coconut Grove is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager. This is a hands-on corporate accounting role supporting the day-to-day accounting function and month-end close.
Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries and accruals
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Manage accounting and reconciliations related to fixed assets
- Support payroll-related accounting, entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain accruals related to marketing, sales, employee expenses, and other corporate functions
- Review and reconcile travel and expense activity
- Assist with financial statement preparation and general ledger analysis
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Maintain accurate supporting schedules and documentation
- Partner with internal departments to obtain information needed for close and reporting
- Assist with additional accounting projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience
- Strong hands-on general ledger and month-end close experience
- Experience with accruals, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting
- NetSuite experience preferred; experience with another large ERP system will be considered
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and quickly become productive in an established accounting environment
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
