Store Manager – Pet Grooming Salon
Petbar Boutique Katy is seeking an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy pet grooming and bathing salon.
The Store Manager supervises our front-desk and bathing teams, coordinates daily workflow with our professional groomers, handles customer concerns, maintains high cleanliness and safety standards, and helps grow memberships and repeat business.
This is not a desk-only position. The Store Manager must be comfortable working alongside the team, assisting during busy periods, maintaining the salon’s cleanliness and organization, and holding employees accountable.
Our owners remain actively involved and provide ongoing support while empowering the Store Manager to lead the daily operation of the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, schedule, and develop front-desk employees and bathers.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and hold employees accountable.
- Coordinate workflow among the front desk, bathers, and groomers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and professionally resolve complaints.
- Ensure pets are handled safely and according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming salon.
- Monitor staffing, inventory, appointments, and daily operational needs.
- Lead membership sales efforts and coach employees on presenting memberships.
- Promote appointment pre-booking, customer retention, and appropriate add-on services.
- Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve service and revenue.
- Communicate regularly with ownership about store performance, staffing, and operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of management or supervisory experience.
- Experience directly supervising employees and addressing performance issues.
- Strong customer-service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Sales experience, preferably involving memberships, recurring services, or customer retention.
- Highly organized, dependable, clean, and attentive to detail.
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently.
- Willing to perform hands-on cleaning and operational duties throughout the day.
- Able to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced service environment.
- Comfortable using scheduling software, point-of-sale systems, and basic computer applications.
- Available to work approximately 40 hours per week, including weekends.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is strongly preferred but not required:
- Pet grooming, veterinary care, boarding, daycare, or other pet services
- Salon, spa, or appointment-based service businesses
- Retail, hospitality, fitness, or membership-based businesses
- Membership sales and customer-retention programs
- Bilingual communication in English and Spanish
Professional grooming experience is not required. We are willing to train an experienced leader who has the management, customer-service, sales, and operational skills needed to run the salon successfully. Additional language skills are also welcomed.
Compensation and Benefits
- $18–$20 per hour, based on experience

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
