We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of innovative technology capabilities that support our intermediary (clearing and custody) business within Institutional Wealth Management Services.
In this role, you will drive high-quality engineering execution, resolve complex technical challenges, and help shape a high-performing engineering culture built on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will serve as a key technical leader, ensuring timely delivery while aligning with enterprise standards and empowering your teams to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams in the design and delivery of scalable solutions supporting critical business capabilities
- Drive execution and ensure high-quality, timely product delivery aligned with business priorities
- Resolve complex technical challenges across web applications, APIs, event-driven systems, batch processing, databases, and cloud solutions
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers in a geographically dispersed organization
- Promote engineering excellence, quality, documentation, flow efficiency, and technical debt management
- Align technical solutions with enterprise architecture, security, reliability, performance, and governance standards
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and influence at multiple levels of the organization
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing, and continuously improving engineering culture
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building scalable enterprise applications (Web, API, Event-Driven, Batch, Database, and Cloud solutions)
- Proven experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering teams
- Strong practical experience with:
- Requirements analysis and documentation (Jira)
- System design and API integration (SOAP/REST)
- Cloud architecture
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Version control (GitHub)
- Agile methodologies
- Demonstrated technology leadership, critical thinking, and influencing skills
- Strong commitment to quality, documentation, and engineering excellence
- Experience with technical design, estimation, and alignment to enterprise architecture
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Data-driven decision-making approach in both day-to-day and strategic situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, wealth management, clearing, or custody platforms
- Series 99 or related operations professional licensing
- Experience optimizing delivery through AI tooling, process improvements, and modern engineering practices
