Falls Point Marine is seeking a skilled Production Aluminum Fabricator/Welder to join our fabrication shop in Gardiner, Maine.
For more than 20 years, Falls Point Marine has designed and constructed waterfront solutions throughout Casco Bay and coastal Maine. We specialize in custom aluminum docks and marine structures for residential and commercial applications.
This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in producing high-quality work. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, fitting, assembling, welding, and finishing custom aluminum products while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld aluminum components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
- Lay out, fit-up, form, and assemble materials for production.
- Perform TIG and MIG aluminum welding.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of marine-related equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support other fabrication and production tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in aluminum fabrication and welding preferred.
- Proficiency in TIG and MIG aluminum welding required.
- Ability to perform welds in multiple positions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with milling machines, lathes, and other fabrication equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Willingness to perform occasional non-welding tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to safely operate fabrication and shop equipment.
