Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate gantry CNC machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis as applicable)
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models
- Perform machine setup including tooling selection, fixturing, and program loading
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Adjust machine offsets, feeds, and speeds to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality
- Maintain proper documentation of production runs and inspections
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
- Work with engineering/programming to optimize tooling and cycle times
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are in safe working condition
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
- 3–7+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably on large gantry machines
- Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Experience working with materials such as aluminum, steel, titanium, or composites
- Familiarity with tight tolerances and aerospace/precision standards
- Working knowledge of CNC controls and shop floor systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
- Knowledge of 5-axis machining
- Experience with controls such as Fanuc, Siemens
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
- Experience with program prove-outs and process optimization

- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, coolant, and moving machinery
