Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness at the bar area, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will be crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Engage with customers, taking drink orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Operate cash registers and handle payments accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order entry and inventory management.
- Assist with food handling as needed, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods, including banquets or special events.
- Monitor customer consumption of alcohol responsibly and adhere to all legal guidelines regarding alcohol service.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or nightclub setting is preferred.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and drink preparation.
- Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems, particularly Aloha POS.
- Excellent sales skills to promote beverages and specials effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety standards are met.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who is willing to help colleagues during busy shifts.
