Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of office spaces, including desks, floors, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Handle various chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain high-quality floor care and buffing standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly disinfecting surfaces and ensuring waste is properly disposed of in accordance with safety protocols.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or cleaning equipment to the appropriate department.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff or visitors for cleaning or maintenance assistance.
Qualifications
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely with understanding of chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks following safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred.
