What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate daily driver schedules, loads, pickups, and deliveries
- Monitor loads throughout the day and proactively address delays or service issues
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal departments regarding load status, scheduling, and operational needs
- Ensure driver assignments comply with Hours of Service requirements, DOT regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate dispatch information and update load and delivery status in company systems
- Monitor driver wait times, route deviations, equipment issues, and other conditions that may affect service
- Assist drivers with breakdowns, scheduling changes, and other operational issues
- Coordinate customer site access and driver requirements as needed
- Work closely with Safety, Maintenance, and Operations to resolve issues efficiently
- Help maintain a professional, safe, and service-focused operation
What We're Looking For:
- Transportation dispatch experience required
- Minimum 2 years of transportation experience preferred
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS
- Experience with TMW or similar transportation management software preferred
- Experience working with ELD systems - Samsara or Motive preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple drivers, loads, and changing priorities at the same time
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day operational issues
- Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transportation environment
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and conduct routine yard checks
