Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The General Manager will play a key role in driving the success of our establishment by fostering a positive team culture and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and kitchen management
- Oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service and food quality
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas of the restaurant
- Handle cash management, POS transactions, and daily financial reporting with accuracy
- Develop and implement shift schedules to ensure smooth operation during peak hours
- Monitor customer service quality and address guest concerns promptly to enhance overall dining experience
- Collaborate with culinary teams on food production, menu planning, and catering events including banquets
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning to maximize profitability
- Lead hiring processes including interviewing candidates for various roles within the restaurant
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
Experience
- Proven management experience in the food industry, preferably within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments
- Extensive background in food service management, including supervising staff and managing restaurant operations
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling and financial reporting is essential
- Experience in inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management
- Background in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence
- Prior experience with culinary operations or fine dining is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in training & development, team management, and supervising diverse teams
- Familiarity with budgeting processes within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Additional experience in hotel or catering environments is a plus
