Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and drainage components in accordance with construction plans and schematics
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine the layout and specifications for plumbing installations
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to complete plumbing tasks efficiently and safely
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations at every stage of the project
- Perform maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks on existing plumbing systems to optimize performance and longevity
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless execution
- Conduct system inspections to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or code violations; perform repairs or replacements as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with construction site experience in residential or commercial settings
- Valid journeyman license or certification demonstrating mastery of plumbing skills and knowledge of local building codes
- Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe installation, pipe threading, gas piping systems, and schematic reading
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction plumbing and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely during installation or repair tasks; physically capable of heavy lifting and working at heights if required
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; familiarity with construction plans and remodeling processes
- Excellent customer service skills for interactions with clients during service calls or project completion phases
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving if required for project transportation or material delivery
