American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ortho/Neuro Unit night shift position in Janesville, WI, requiring a current WI or compact RN license and NIHSS certification.

Hospital-based Ortho/Neuro Unit setting
-
Orthopedic and neurological patient population
-
12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
-
Floating to other units may be required
-
13-week contract
-
Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS/BCLS certification required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Prior Ortho/Neuro or Med-Surg nursing experience required

Education verification required for consideration

Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient plans of care

Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care

Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command

Participates in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance

Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of patients' longitudinal care plans
