Duties
- Install residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment following schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform system troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment using hand tools and electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters
- Conduct maintenance on mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems and implement effective solutions for system repair or replacement
- Read and interpret schematics, building automation systems, and electrical diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems where applicable
- Ensure all installations comply with EPA regulations and safety standards including proper handling of refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations, maintenance procedures, and answering homeowner questions confidently
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with hands-on skills in mechanical systems installation and repair
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and building automation systems
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical testers
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems repair
- Experience working with hand tools necessary for installation and maintenance tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling required; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or electrical diagnostics are advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various residential settings

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
