Apex Sports Medicine is built around patient-centered care, functional rehabilitation and providing a variety of integrated treatment options. In addition to sports chiropractic, Apex Sports Medicine provides Active Release Technique, acupuncture, cupping, therapeutic and corrective exercises, movement assessments, instrument soft tissue mobilization, and more.
We are looking for a personal trainer to become our chiropractic assistant/Rehabilitation and Movement Specialist.
We are passionate about empowering our patients and strive to create detailed and specialized treatment plans for each person. Our ideal candidate has knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology, movement patterns, an extensive library of exercises and some personal training or coaching experience.
Shifts Required:
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:45 am to 1:30pm
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:45am to 6:45pm
Key Objectives:
- Assess movement patterns through the use of Apex Rehab protocols
- Efficiently communicate drills and cues for proper patient technique
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Keep detailed SOAP notes and track patient progress, as well as updated patient rehab app account
- Keep clean and organized rehab area
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to lift and carry 72lbs
- Prepare daily meeting with Dr 30 minutes before shift starts
- Respond to emails within one business day
- Respond to google chats within 1-3 minutes
- Send update emails at end of shift to account for work done in non-patient hours
- Learn and utilize Apex rehab protocols
- Update Apex rehab protocols as needed
- Follow treating practitioners guidelines and treatment plan.
- Be able to progress and regress all exercises to create individualized plan for patient
- Bridge communication between patient and Dr. through the rehab app
- Input and update all rehab plans within the rehab app by the end of shift.
- Complete all SOAP notes by end of each shift
- Create videos for all exercises not in rehab app and upload them
- Keep rehab area organized and clean.
- Wash floors at end of shift
- Deep clean once per month
- Sell rehab equipment to patients as needed
- Stay up to date on all professional certifications
- Ensure all rehab equipment is in good working condition, report to Dr for any equipment that needs to be replaced
- Help to keep office clean and organized when there is down time in shift
- Answer phones if necessary
- Engage with and greet all patients in the office if not busy
