Playful Pack is Charleston’s premier dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility, located conveniently on Meeting Street. We are dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment for dogs and their families, and we pride ourselves on our passionate, professional team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our daily operations, oversee staff, and ensure an exceptional experience for clients and their pets. This is a very hands-on role—you’ll be actively involved in the care, supervision, and well-being of the dogs every day. Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced, pet-friendly environment and want to make a real impact in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of daycare, boarding, and grooming services
- Lead, train, and mentor staff while actively participating in daycare, boarding, and grooming activities
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and other administrative tasks
- Maintain high standards of pet care, cleanliness, and safety
- Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and upper management regarding pet behavior, operational needs, and incidents
- Develop and implement policies and programs to improve operations and client satisfaction
- Bring new ideas and leadership to help grow and shape the future of Playful Pack
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of management experience in a pet care facility (kennel, daycare, boarding, or grooming)
- Experience with Gingr or other pet care management software is a plus
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Animal handling experience and a genuine passion for pets
- Knowledge of pet care, veterinary practices, or grooming is a plus
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and heavy lifting as needed

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
