Overview
MINES and Associates is seeking a Clinical Case Manager to join our mission driven behavioral health team. This role supports individuals, organizations, and communities through high quality EAP and MBHO services, including telephonic intake, utilization management support, crisis response, case management, and referral coordination. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, service focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, including EAP intake, benefits questions, crisis support, and provider coordination
- Complete telephonic assessments, triage needs, and coordinate appropriate services and referrals
- Support MBHO utilization management activities, including prior authorization requests and level of care review
- Provide crisis assessment, stabilization support, and follow up coordination as appropriate
- Coordinate Substance Abuse Professional referral services and related case activity
- Manage work performance referrals and communicate professionally with employers and HR partners
- Provide case management, care coordination, and discharge planning support for members receiving behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Provide solution focused on EAP counseling, resource support, and referrals
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in the electronic health record
- Develop effective working relationships with providers, employers, community resources, and internal team members
- Provide Critical Incident Stress Support services, including onsite support when requested
- Assist with additional clinical and operational needs during lower call volume periods
Work Schedule and Coverage Expectations
This is a full-time, exempt position with hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time two days per week and 9:30 AM-6:00 PM MST three days per week. The role requires scheduled phone coverage two to three evenings per week until 6:00 PM Mountain Time, with flexibility to remain engaged beyond scheduled hours when actively handling a call. Coverage expectations may evolve based on operational needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Licensed clinician required, including LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or comparable credential
- Experience in case management, care coordination, EAP, managed care, or utilization management preferred
- Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of URAC HUM Standards preferred
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Must have reliable internet access to support remote work through the Microsoft 365 environment
- Must maintain a private workspace suitable for handling confidential health information
- Must attend weekly video meetings with the Health Psychology Team
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
