Job Overview
A three-attorney law firm is seeking a Paralegal / Case Management Intake Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role splits time between traditional paralegal work and managing client intake and case setup — making it a great fit for a newer paralegal (a year or two of experience, or just starting out) or an experienced intake/case manager looking to grow into more paralegal responsibilities. You'll work alongside our current paralegal and gain hands-on exposure to both sides of case management, with room to develop your skills as you go.
Duties
- Manage case files using document management systems such as Clio, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date
- Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for case development with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support litigation processes by organizing discovery materials, preparing trial binders, and tracking deadlines in compliance with procedural law requirements
- Maintain effective communication with clients, courts, and external stakeholders while adhering to confidentiality standards
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and managing incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of various practice areas such as personal injury law, family law, civil litigation support.
- Proven experience with legal case management software including Clio, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is essential
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in client communication with professional phone etiquette; capable of handling confidential information discreetly
- Familiarity with procedural law procedures related to litigation processes and document review workflows
- Experience supporting attorneys in administrative tasks such as filing documents with courts or agencies and managing document review projects
