We are currently seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant to join our team at one of our beautiful Overland Park communities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a customer-focused environment, and is looking for a company where they can grow and build a long-term career.
As a Leasing Consultant, you will combine your sales, customer service, and marketing skills to connect with prospective residents and guide them through the process of finding their new home. You will play an important role in shaping the experience residents have with our community from their very first interaction.
What You’ll Do
- Provide outstanding customer service to both prospective and current residents
- Respond to internet leads, answer prospect calls, and conduct engaging property tours
- Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to generate traffic, maintain strong closing ratios, and support our goal of 100% occupancy
- Maintain thorough product knowledge of the community and surrounding competition
- Collect deposits and fees associated with new move-ins
- Accurately prepare and maintain lease-related paperwork and documentation
- Assist residents with questions, maintenance requests, rent payments, and other day-to-day needs
- Follow all Kelly Enterprise policies and procedures including Fair Housing, harassment, and safety standards
- Support the Vision, Mission, and Values of Kelly Enterprise by contributing to a collaborative team environment and providing service with the highest levels of courtesy, honesty, and integrity
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma required; 2-year or 4-year degree preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in a customer service or sales-oriented role
- Residential leasing or sales experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and long-term relationships with residents
- Positive attitude and strong self-motivation
- Computer proficiency; experience with Entrata is a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and occasional holidays
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
