Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our team and drive excellence in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system installations. Duties
- Lead and coordinate HVAC system installations, including air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and mechanical systems repair.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters; perform equipment repair and maintenance as needed.
- Install and service building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, plumbing connections, and HVAC/R components with attention to detail.
- Supervise junior technicians during installation projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of HVAC systems post-installation to verify proper operation; perform system adjustments for optimal performance.
- Maintain thorough documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, schematics updates, and service logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system features and maintenance requirements clearly to clients.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or HVAC service technician roles with a strong background in HVAC system installation and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair, refrigeration techniques—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems within HVAC units using appropriate tools like ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, plumbing integration, and HVAC design principles.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, welding techniques, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for complex HVAC/R setups.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to clients.
