Responsibilities
- Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using advanced sterilization equipment following strict aseptic techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by organizing sterile instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures.
- Support dental staff during procedures by managing instrument transfer and ensuring a sterile environment through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Monitor and record vital signs and medical imaging data when assisting with pediatric dentistry or other specialized treatments.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times during sterilization processes and record management.
- Collaborate with the dental team to uphold infection control standards, including proper handling of medical records, X-ray processing, and medical coding.
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment supporting chairside assisting and dental assisting roles.
