Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. In this vital role, you will support residents in their daily activities, promote independence, and foster a safe, engaging environment. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve, ensuring they receive respectful, personalized care in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity.
- Support indivual during community outings or activities to encourage social engagement and community integration.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided,clients progress, and incident reports in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s), or memory care needs is desirable.
- Strong communication skills combined with patience and compassion for diverse populations.
- Must have a computer and know how to document daily notes on computer
- A valid driver’s license, Transportation and auto insurance is required for community outings or transportation responsibilities. - MON-FRI 4pm-8pm
- SAT & SUN 8am-6pm
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
