Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients under supervision
- Support the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold food safety standards
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or trash disposal while following proper handling procedures
- Maintain organization of dishware and utensils to ensure quick access during busy service times
- Support catering or banquet events by providing timely cleaning and setup assistance
- Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure a hygienic environment at all times
Requirements
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and basic food handling practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail in maintaining hygiene standards
- Basic knife skills and understanding of food preparation processes are advantageous
- Experience with dishwashing equipment and cleaning supplies is desirable
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support team members in a fast-paced setting
