About the Role
Jackrabbit Air Conditioning is expanding in the Tampa Bay area! We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Lead HVAC Installer to oversee residential and light commercial system replacements, duct installations, and indoor air quality upgrades. As a Lead Installer, you will drive quality craftsmanship, deliver 5-star customer service, and mentor job site team members.

Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Execute complete replacements and new installations of residential HVAC systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork according to local codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Jobsite Leadership: Lead daily installation projects from arrival to cleanup, ensuring safety protocols, high work quality, and on-time completion.
- Mentorship & Teamwork: Direct and train Install Assistants on proper installation techniques, tool usage, and safety procedures.
- Customer Interaction: Walk homeowners through the completed installation, demonstrate operation, answer questions, and leave jobsites cleaner than you found them.
- Diagnostics & Quality Checks: Perform start-ups, airflow checks, refrigerant charge verifications, and electrical safety testing prior to job sign-off.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in residential HVAC installation.
- Certifications: EPA Universal Certification required; NATE certification or local HVAC licenses are a plus.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Skills: Proficient in brazing, sheet metal fabrication, high/low voltage wiring, duct layout, and refrigerant recovery.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in attics and crawl spaces in Florida heat, and climb ladders safely.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
