- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to enhance visual appeal
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely service
- Follow food handling procedures meticulously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety
- Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes and ingredient needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a strong understanding of kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Skilled in knife handling, slicing techniques, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members
- Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Familiarity with catering services and meal preparation for large groups is advantageous
