Job Summary
Seeking a reliable and professional Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide part-time morning support in a private home setting for a 33-year old physically disabled woman in Bushwick. This role focuses on assisting an independent individual with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), light housekeeping, and routine daily logistics.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, and Sunday. Shifts occur within a 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM window.
- Hours: Flexible daily shift lengths totaling 18 hours per week.
- Pay: $20.65 per hour.
- Start Date: Immediate (July 1st)
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Maintain a clean environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry
- Assist with preparing light meals and basic food prep
- Help with daily logistics such as checking mail, handling packages, and maintaining personal mobility equipment
- Provide physical and logistical support for local errands or occasional travel as needed

- Self-Starter & Detail-Oriented: A highly motivated individual who can work independently, anticipate daily household needs, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Punctuality & Reliability: Strong dependability is absolutely required for morning shifts.
- Physical Capability: Must be able to comfortably meet the physical demands of the position, including manual transfers, lifting heavy objects safely, and performing tasks with professionalism.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to follow precise preferences and verbal directions accurately.
- Task Management: Comfort with maintaining routines, keeping living spaces orderly, and managing grocery or errand lists.
- Experience: Familiarity with working with individuals with physical disabilities is preferred.
- Logistics: Must have reliable transportation.
