MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma and CDL Class B License and P & S endorsement (district will pay for the license
training)
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Safely transport passengers along designated routes
- Adhere to schedules and pre-determined routes and time schedules
- Perform daily vehicle checks
- Communicate with dispatch and other drivers
- Report accidents, incidents, and mechanical issues
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior and supervise passenger behavior
- Assist passengers with disabilities
- Complete emergency evacuation drills with passengers as required
- Attend safety meetings as required
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent driving skills and strong understanding of traffic laws
- Forms good relationships with all students
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborate with the transportation team to improve student safety
- Implement student restrictions, as necessary, to keep students safe on the bus
- Ability to utilize transportation software
