Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable CDL Hotshot Driver to join our team and deliver urgent freight with precision and professionalism. As a CDL Hotshot Driver, you will be responsible for transporting time-sensitive loads across various routes, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including pickup trucks equipped for hotshot deliveries, adhering strictly to DOT and state transportation regulations.
- Transport urgent freight efficiently across designated routes, ensuring on-time delivery in all weather conditions, including adverse weather scenarios.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, focusing on air brake systems, mechanical components, and overall safety to prevent breakdowns or delays.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, traffic conditions, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Uphold customer service excellence by representing the company professionally during pickups and drop-offs, ensuring courteous interactions with clients.
- Follow all traffic laws, defensive driving practices, and safety protocols to minimize risks on the road.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting mechanical concerns promptly to ensure vehicle reliability.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with appropriate endorsements for air brakes and hazardous materials preferred.
- Proven experience in motor coach driving, school bus driving, shuttle driving or delivery driving roles demonstrating safe driving records.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs if necessary.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and state transportation rules governing commercial vehicle operation.
- Experience driving in adverse weather conditions and managing traffic in busy or challenging environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective coordination with dispatchers and customers.
- Knowledge of paratransit services or limousine driving is a plus but not required.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks related to loading/unloading or vehicle checks while maintaining safety standards.

Pay: $1,600.00 - $1,900.00 per week
