Job Overview
Chart House Energy is seeking a Master Electrician to join our growing team of solar professionals. This full-time position focuses on commercial, industrial, and some residential electrical installations for grid-tied, off-grid, and battery-backed solar PV systems, as well as EV charging stations and generators.
We’re looking for a professional who is passionate about renewable energy, committed to quality workmanship, and ready to grow with a Michigan-based company.
Responsibilities
Grid-Tied Solar Electric Systems:
- Secure electrical permits and coordinate with utilities
- Lead solar electrical installations including inverter setup, conduit, wiring, grid tie, voltage testing, and NEC code compliance
- Help field team with module installation
- Install and wire grid-tied systems with or without battery backup
Off-Grid Solar Electric Systems:
- Complete full electrical setup: BOS layout, charge controllers, disconnects, conduit runs, and inverter integration
- Help field team with module installation
- Connect solar array strings to charge controllers and batteries
- Ensure full system compliance with NEC and local codes
EV Charging Installation:
- Install appropriate circuit breakers
- Complete all necessary wiring and conduit
- Connect to building power supply
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Master Electrician License in Michigan
- Strong knowledge of NEC and best practices for solar PV installations
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to lift 75–100 lbs and work safely on rooftops
- Willingness to work with field team to install solar panels alongside AC-side installations
- Willingness to travel for installations across state of Michigan
- Comfortable using company vehicles and tools (clean driving record required)

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
