Job Title: VOIP Technician (For Early-Career Candidates)
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated VOIP Technician to join our team deploying and maintaining voice and network infrastructure for customers throughout Idaho and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional looking to build hands-on experience with VoIP systems, networking, and telecommunications in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, install, and maintain a variety of VoIP products and services, including both on-premises and cloud-based telecommunications platforms.
- Install and support network infrastructure, including Cat6 cabling, patch panels, network racks, cable trays, and related components.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot networking equipment such as switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving VoIP, network, and connectivity issues for customers.
- Provide excellent customer service while working on-site and remotely.
- Work safely on lifts, tall ladders, and in crawlspaces as needed.
This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Meridian, ID office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
After successfully completing the probationary period and demonstrating competency, participate in occasional travel to customer sites in other states and an on-call rotation that may include evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking fundamentals, and computer systems.
- Excellent computer, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience with or certifications in Netsapiens, MetaView, Mitel, or other VoIP platforms is a plus.
Pay
- $18.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
