Located in downtown San Francisco, steps from Union Square, Patrick Evan is a full-service hair salon that provides tailor-made styles in a space that feels as modern as it does engaging. We believe in authenticity, kinship and enrichment, and are looking for those who believe that honest contribution matters. We work hard to maintain a healthy ecosystem in our work environment, listening to each voice, knowing individual actions are impactful to the greater whole and that each role is different but all are important!
We are offering FULL-TIME hours, and are looking for a personable and energetic team player who is an adaptive and forward-looking learner. The ideal candidate is someone who:
- enjoys puzzles
- makes checklists
- hates clutter
- is often told what a great memory they have!
- is usually the planner of their group
- re-reads their texts before sending
- has previous salon experience and is looking to grow into a leadership role
We offer Paid Sick Leave, Commuter Benefits, full health coverage benefits (Health + Vision/Dental), 401K, and a flexible personal time off policy, plus a generous employee discount on hair services and products.
Candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications:
- the ability to collaborate successfully, employing active listening, sharing communal tasks/projects and relaying individual progress within the goals of a group/team
- excellent email composition skills; we book 80% of our reservations through emails so proficiency in English language composition (reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, writing process) is a must!
- critical thinking/problem-solving skills
- exceptional time management and organizational skills, specifically the ability to compartmentalize/prioritize tasks quickly and efficiently
- tech-savvy (email/typing, mobile device/apps, POS, scheduling software, general knowledge of Windows/MAC OS)
- available to work weekends/some evenings
Required: Previous salon experience
++ Knowledge of Zenoti Software/salon experience a huge plus, but not required
+ Prior experience in customer service and/or any booking software a plus
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Client Services: Check-ins/outs, including amenities (maintaining beverage stations, checkin areas) and handling payment transactions. Engage as a resource to provide booking recommendations for all hair services and products the salon offers. Mitigate minor client complaints/issues with compassion and professionalism; prompt and accurate relay to management for extended client complaints/issues. You're the first and last person the client sees!
- Salon Support: Schedule appointments via phone and emails. Opening/Closing the salon, which includes cash counting and register balance. Minor upkeep of lounge areas. When the desk runs right, the salon runs right!
- Communications: Heavy email correspondence. Serve as liaison across contact platforms (in-person, call/text, email) between clients, stylists, and all other salon staff. The desk is the hub of the salon--nothing passes through the salon without passing through the desk!
Apply with resume by email only (Psst: We love reading cover letters!)
