American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 2+ years of broad OR experience — including a skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular — for a 13-week travel assignment in an Operating Room in Asheville, NC.

Hospital-based Operating Room setting in Asheville, NC

Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center serving as a regional referral hub, with specialized programs in open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, robotics, and pediatric subspecialties

Broad surgical caseload including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma procedures

Busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas with a full-service surgical environment

1:1 patient ratio

Cerner EMR in use

Shift hours are 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM on a variable schedule

On-call requirements are part of this role

Floating to other departments may be required

13-week contract

Minimum of 2 years of recent OR scrub experience required, with at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months

Skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular — no exceptions

Experience across multiple service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma

NBSTSA CST certification required; state license required if applicable (e.g., VA, CO)

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date; AHA or ARC accepted

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted

One professional reference required (two references required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates accepted

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Scrubs are provided by the facility
