Responsibilities
- Assist in managing leasing activities, including showing units, processing lease or rental agreements, and upselling available units or amenities to prospective tenants
- Support property maintenance coordination by communicating with vendors, tracking work orders, and ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Maintain accurate data entry within property management software such as Yardi and OneSite; handle filing, record keeping, and document management
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 housing programs
- Handle customer service inquiries professionally via phone and in person; resolve conflicts effectively using conflict management skills
- Support lease administration by reviewing contracts, managing rent collections, and processing payments through property management systems
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing legal documents, managing contracts, and supporting facilities management activities
Experience
- Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly preferred
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is advantageous
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC programs, and Section 8 housing policies is essential
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution ability
- Experience in lease or rental agreement management, facilities management, and property maintenance coordination is desirable
- Office experience involving data entry, filing, contract handling, and administrative support will strengthen your application
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
