Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing registers at shift end.
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting.
- Assist with inventory management through stocking and merchandising products, supporting overall store operations.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging politely with customers over the phone or in person, practicing professional phone etiquette.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities.
