Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time FFA (Foster Family Agency) Social Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine needs related to child protective services, adoption, and child welfare.
- Develop individualized service plans that promote stability, safety, and permanency for children in foster care or awaiting placement.
- Collaborate with foster families, caregivers, and community partners to coordinate services such as childcare, developmental support, and behavioral health interventions.
- Monitor case progress regularly, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and agency policies.
- Advocate for children’s rights and needs within multidisciplinary teams, including courts, schools, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain detailed case records, documentation of interactions, assessments, and service plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and support to foster families and caregivers on issues related to child development, safety protocols, and trauma-informed care.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of child protective services procedures and child welfare laws.
- Experience working with children who have developmental disabilities or special needs.
- Familiarity with adoption processes and post-placement support strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, and professional teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and transparency.
- Proficiency in case management software, SAFE HOME STUDIES and documentation standards.
