Marketing Director & Hospital Liaison Responsibilities
- Represent the facility to clients, hospitals, and community agencies, establishing a good rapport with the transferring institutions.
- Maintain an accurate resident roster.
- Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility.
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources.
- Analyze referrals to ensure facility can meet resident’s needs adequately.
- Facilitate a decision for admission approval and notification of admission approval timely to referring agency.
- Recruit and credential new physicians to the facility.
- Explain facility philosophy, policies and procedures to potential residents, new residents, and residents’ representatives.
- Meet with members of community organizations.
Marketing Director & Hospital Liaison Qualifications
- Prior demonstrated, successful experience in marketing a skilled nursing facility or facilities to local referral sources.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care, preferably in admissions and/or marketing
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
