We are looking for an experienced and motivated Shift Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, prior management experience, and a passion for delivering excellent guest service. As a Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring team performance, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
- Supervise and support team members in both Front of House (FOH) andBack of House (BOH).
- Ensure outstanding guest service and satisfaction at all times.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Manage employee breaks, clock-ins/outs, and ensure labor compliance.
- Perform shift planning including staff deployment and task assignments.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and priorities.
- Monitor food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Enforce company policies and California labor law requirements.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and waste control.
- Ensure cash handling and daily deposits are completed accurately.
- Support the General Manager in training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food safety, labor laws, and cash handling procedures.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
