We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Daycare Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for children in a licensed childcare setting. This position is primarily responsible for morning food preparation and kitchen operations, with occasional support in classrooms when needed.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and/or snacks according to daycare menus and dietary guidelines

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times

Properly store food and maintain temperature logs as required
-
Accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs
-
Communicate effectively with directors and teaching staff regarding meals and supplies

Assist in classrooms as needed for lunch breaks or short coverage when staffing allows

Work collaboratively with the team and take direction as needed
Requirements:

Valid Food Handler’s Permit (required)

Willingness to obtain Food Manager Certification

Ability to work morning hours consistently

Ability to follow instructions and established routines

Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility

Ability to step into classroom support roles when needed

Must be able to meet state childcare licensing requirements (background check, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience cooking in a childcare, school, or institutional setting

Knowledge of child nutrition guidelines
