Required Tasks
A. Assure all Content Area assessments are aligned with State Standards and that pacing/scope of material is structured uniformly to
assure teachers cover essential skills/topics
1. Review curricular pacing/scope and sequence in Curriculum PD meetings
2. Work with SLC Directors and Instructional Leadership Team to provide updates on scope & sequence
B. Develop and share assessments that can be translated into measurable SLO data and assure high levels of rigor in all content areas
1. Content specific assessments for all teachers reviewed by semester
2. Bi-semester data report on each department’s team (meet w Admin Team)
3. Work w Directors and Instructional Leadership Team to assure Literacy is a focus area
C. Resource acquisition for all content teachers-act as liaison to building admin for acquiring materials, supplies, digital access, etc
1. Meet in spring of each school year to set fee schedule for courses in your content
2. Keep running inventory of all materials and expenditures by department
Other duties and expectations-
1. Attend Weekly STEP meetings and contribute to decision making process at DCHS
2. Run periodic meetings with department to review policies/procedures and relevant best practices (TBD by building Admin)
3. Act as curriculum and materials acquisition facilitator for the department
4. Run regular curriculum collaboration PLC’s during PD time
5. Sit on committee for hiring new staff into department and act as mentor, or facilitate mentorship, for new hires
6. Act as professional role model for all staff at DCHS
