Live Oak Periodontics & Implant Dentistry is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing specialty practice. We are looking for an individual who enjoys building relationships with patients, takes pride in providing exceptional clinical care, and is passionate about helping patients achieve long-term periodontal health.
Previous periodontal experience is preferred; however, we welcome experienced general practice hygienists who have a strong desire to learn and grow in the specialty of periodontics. We are committed to providing the training and mentorship needed for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments
- Conduct periodontal maintenance and scaling/root planing (SRP)
- Obtain and interpret digital radiographs
- Record periodontal charting accurately
- Educate patients on periodontal disease, treatment, and home care
- Assist the periodontist in developing individualized treatment plans
- Administer local anesthesia (where permitted by licensure)
- Monitor patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the electronic dental record
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to deliver an outstanding patient experience
Qualifications Required
- Current Texas Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Preferred
- Previous periodontal or specialty practice experience
- Experience with periodontal charting and maintenance therapy
- Experience administering local anesthesia
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software
Candidates with general dentistry hygiene experience who are eager to learn periodontics are encouraged to apply.
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
