Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working with both neurodiverse and neurotypical students in grade K-5, providing tailored instruction and support in reading, writing, and math.
Duties
- Assess individual student needs and develop personalized lesson plans to enhance learning outcomes.
- Utilize learning technology and educational resources to facilitate engaging tutoring sessions.
- Provide instruction in subjects such as math, reading, and writing, adapting methods to suit different learning styles.
- Support students in early childhood education, special education as needed.
- Create a nurturing tutoring atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to both students and parents/guardians regarding academic performance.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure comprehensive support for each student’s educational journey.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years K-5 teaching experience
- Special Education Teaching Certificate
- IVP Clearance card
- Reliable Transportation
- Must be willing to provide services in the Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, and Queen Creek areas
- Ability to create or have access to academic resources and materials
