Summary
Reprting directly t the Chief f Talent Management, the Directr f Investigative Services and Labr Relatins has the supprting authrity fr leading and directing the effrts f a human resurces team that prvides exceptinal custmer service t internal and external cnstituents. The Directr f Investigative Services and Labr Relatins supprts the educatinal perfrmance and financial stability f the District, cnducts investigatins and trains administratrs in best interviewing and investigatry practices, prvides leadership, visin, and strategic directin fr the District’s human resurces systems, prcedures and prcesses bth independently and thrugh supervisin f department staff.

- Supprts persnnel matters related t cllective bargaining agreements and interpreting negtiated cntracts in cnjunctin with legal cunsel when necessary.
- Investigates emplyee cmplaints; and acts as the department cntact and prvides assistance as needed in the District’s Title IX investigatry prcess t include interviewing all parties and preparing investigatry reprts.
- Meet with persns invlved in equal pprtunity cmplaints t arbitrate and settle disputes.
- Supprts prper handling f emplyee discipline, investigatins, and cnflict reslutin.
- Interprets civil rights laws and equal pprtunity regulatins fr individuals
- Develps guidelines and mnitrs the implementatin and impact f guidelines fr nndiscriminatry emplyment practices.
- Crdinate, mnitr, r revise cmplaint prcedures t ensure timely prcessing and review f cmplaints.
- Supprts respnses t grievances and manages the grievance steps, in cnjunctin with legal cunsel
- Recmmends training fr staff n Human Resurces tpics and secures such training.
- Advises the Executive Directr f Human Resurces regarding staffing, persnnel related matters and general administrative cncerns.
- Manages psitin cntrl t infrm staffing frecasts and budget develpment.
- Creates a partnership between department and emplyees
- Create and maintain human resurces departmental plicies and prcedures.
- Understands, supervises cllectin and input f infrmatin, and maintenance f schl district cmpliance needs with PDE Certificatins, PIMS Data, and PDE required clearances.
- versees and supprts any district unemplyment claims; including investigating and maintaining recrds needed fr escalated claims. Respnsible fr drafts respnses and representing the district at hearings and appeals.
- Prvides input and supprt t the Executive Directr f Human Resurces in the develpment and implementatin f plicies and administrative prcedures relating t human resurces cncerns.
- Attends regularly scheduled Schl Bard meetings that are held in the evening/nighttime.
- Assists in the preparatin f the persnnel reprt fr Schl Bard meetings.
- Perfrms such ther tasks and assumes such ther respnsibilities as may be assigned r delegated by the Chief f Talent Management r ther designee f the Superintendent.
