Clarity Counseling & Assessment is seeking a compassionate, curious, and motivated clinician interested in pursuing certification as a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP) in Virginia.
This position offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized expertise in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with problematic sexual behaviors (PSB) while maintaining a traditional outpatient therapy caseload. Approximately 25–33% of the clinician's caseload will involve PSB-specific services, with the remaining caseload consisting of general outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
The selected clinician will receive supervision, mentorship, and support toward completing the experience and training requirements for Virginia CSOTP certification.

Position Responsibilities
The CSOTP Trainee will:
- Provide outpatient individual, family, and potentially group therapy.
- Learn to provide specialized treatment for children and adolescents with problematic sexual behaviors.
- Receive training and supervision in the completion of:
- Adolescent Sexual Behavior Problem Consultation (ASBPC) evaluations
- Psychosexual evaluations
- Sex offense-specific treatment
- Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with child welfare, probation, and other professionals as appropriate.
- Complete timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in ongoing consultation, supervision, and professional development toward CSOTP certification.
- Complete comprehensive, multi-page evaluations and assessment (ASBPC) reports.
- Analyze clinical interview data, collateral information, records, and assessment findings to develop clear, well-supported clinical opinions and recommendations.
- Produce professional, organized, and timely written reports that can be understood by referral sources and other multidisciplinary professionals.
- Independently draft reports with attention to accuracy, organization, and clinical reasoning while receiving supervision appropriate to level of training. This position is appropriate for someone who enjoys writing!

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Counseling, or another license-eligible behavioral health field.
- Licensed or license-eligible through the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
- Applicants who are not yet licensed must meet Virginia supervision requirements.
- Ability to pass criminal history, Child Protective Services, FBI, and DMV background checks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of clinical experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, or adults.
- Experience working with trauma, child welfare, juvenile justice, or behavioral health populations.
- Experience with case management or care coordination.
- Interest in trauma treatment, forensic assessment, and specialized behavioral health services.
