We are looking for an experienced optician to join our team. Our opticians work Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:00pm (Thursdays till 6:00pm). They are responsible for educating and assisting patients in choosing frames and lenses to meet their individual needs, placing, receiving, and dispensing orders, lens finishing, billing insurance for materials, and adjusting and repairing glasses.
We provide OTJ training and certification assistance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of optical experience preferred.
ABO certification preferred.
Fluent in English, bilingual preferred.

Good with computers, MS Word, MS Excel, email, practice management software, etc.

Must be able to read fine print and lens markings.
Must be able to handle and manipulate small objects with fingers.
Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods.
Must present clean and well groomed, professional appearance at all times while following dress code (see policies and procedures manual).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
