Duties
- Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes efficiently.
- Perform repairs on various appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Install new appliances and ensure proper setup by following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent future breakdowns and extend appliance lifespan.
- Use ladder access and mechanical knowledge to reach and service appliances in different environments safely.
- Operate company vehicles such as box trucks for delivery and service calls while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction during every interaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair, field service work, or as a service technician with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of electrical work, refrigeration systems, plumbing basics, HVAC principles, and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and use ladder logic for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, electrical testers, and other maintenance equipment.
- Experience operating company vehicles such as box trucks or similar delivery vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.
