Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic auto/truck mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles and heavy equipment using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical assessments.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and other critical components.
- Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Service a variety of machinery including forklifts, , industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving electrical systems, hydraulics, air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, and other specialized systems.
- Perform tire services such as mounting, balancing, and replacing tires on heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain detailed service records and follow schematics to ensure precise repairs; adhere to safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer specifications and advanced diagnostics.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals; ability to interpret electrical diagrams is essential.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is required.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and tire service.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely; industrial equipment operation experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions; commitment to safety protocols at all times.

Pay: $21.00 - $27.11 per hour
