Here's what we are looking for:
- Hold a CO State Registered Veterinary Technician license
- At least one year of veterinary experience required; previous surgery experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work on-call shifts once training is completed

What you’ll do:
- Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
- Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments
- Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations
- Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning, assist with intubation and radiographs
- Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
- Open, turning over and clean operating rooms, as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs
- Assist in patient procedures using knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Place intravenous catheters, place endotracheal tubes, use and maintain anesthetic equipment
