As our Cook, you'll play an important role in providing residents with nutritious, flavorful meals while helping maintain a safe and efficient kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare fresh, appetizing meals according to approved menus and recipes
- Ensure meals meet residents' nutritional needs and dietary preferences
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
- Minimize food waste while monitoring quality and presentation
- Supervise and support serving staff during meal service
- Maintain cleanliness and proper care of kitchen equipment
- Help create a positive dining experience for every resident
- Work collaboratively with the dining services team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Culinary certificate or degree from an accredited culinary school preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of cooking/food service experience
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, organized, and committed to quality service
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check
- Full-Time (40 hours/week)
- Morning and afternoon/evening shifts
- Some weekend availability required
- No late-night shifts!
