Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers while adhering to safe patient lifting practices
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces
- Monday through Friday
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and geriatrics enhances your ability to support residents effectively
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged, but not required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
- Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client transportation or community outings
- Strong communication skills to engage positively with residents, families, and team members
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently throughout shifts
