Stalwart Law Group, a highly respected boutique civil litigation firm in Los Angeles, specializing in the representation of injured victims, is seeking a full-time litigation assistant to join our personal injury team. Applicants must have a minimum of three years experience handling PI cases in California. Applicant must be able to work 8 am - 5 pm PST.
The ideal candidate will be able to handle all aspects of personal injury claims from A-Z including but limited to:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, citation checking, and tabling documents
- Professionally communicate with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel
- Prepare documents for filing in both state and federal courts
- Support our attorneys in all phases of litigation
- Manage and calendar court deadlines
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Maintain organized case files
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience handling high volume of personal injury cases in CA
- Complete understanding of legal calendaring and tracking deadlines
- Knowledgeable about court and e-filing procedures, local and state rules and filing requirements
- Tech savvy and comfortable working in a paperless system
- Time management and meticulous attention to detail is imperative
- Ability to act independently and in a team-based environment
- Knowledge and experience with firm systems: Slack, Clio, Asana, Dropbox
- Exceptional organizational skills plus effective oral and written communication skills
