Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Machine Set-up Technicians for 3rd shifts to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical background and experience in setting up and operating various types of machinery. This role is critical in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Duties
- Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications and production requirements.
- Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, flexo presses, stamping presses, and press brake machines.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to understand assembly processes and machine setups.
- Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line for efficient workflow.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently within the manufacturing facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Fanuc systems, CAD software (such as SolidWorks), CAM programming, GD&T, and basic math skills.
- Experience with hand tools, fabrication techniques, tooling, and welding is advantageous.
- Previous factory or warehouse experience is a plus, along with knowledge of materials handling processes.
