Sadler Electric is seeking a motivated, dependable, and safety-focused Material Handler / Construction Material Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines warehouse operations with customer-facing delivery responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, physical work, and being on the road.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for receiving, handling, loading, and delivering construction materials to local job sites. Your commitment to safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service will play a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations and customer satisfaction.
*Starting at $20.00/hr depending on experience*
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, move, and organize construction materials within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport and deliver construction materials to job sites in a timely manner.
- Properly secure loads and verify weight distribution to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify orders, obtain delivery signatures, and maintain accurate delivery documentation and shipment logs.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Utilize route navigation and mobile communication tools to ensure efficient deliveries and prompt updates.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service during every delivery.
- Assist with inventory management, stock movement, receiving shipments, and maintaining a clean/organized warehouse.
- Report maintenance needs and perform basic vehicle and equipment inspections.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience pulling NON-CDL trailers such as air compressors and conduit reel trailers.
- Intimate knowledge of Greater Omaha Metro Roadways
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
- Previous warehouse, material handling, construction/electrical supply, or delivery experience preferred.
- Knowledge of load securement practices and safe material handling procedures.
- Ability to read and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials safely throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to safely handle construction materials while following workplace safety guidelines.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
